Our mother passed away unexpectedly on 21 July 2026. Her grave in Bălaia, Bihor is still just earth and a cross. We’re raising money for a concrete and granite tomb that will last many years. We’ll pay the work directly to the craftsman and post every receipt here.

We are Doina’s family: Sergiu, Andrei, Cristi, Roxana and Ionuț. I, Sergiu, created CauseHub, and this is the first cause we’re doing for our family: for our mother, Doina.

On 21 July 2026, mum came home from the pool after an ordinary day. That same evening she had a heart attack and cardiac‑respiratory arrest. She had a heart condition and had been taking medication for a long time, but no one expected her to go so quickly.

We have always been a poor family. We, the four brothers, were placed for adoption as children because our parents couldn’t afford to raise us. Our brother Paul is no longer with us either. Mum’s husband, Ioan, passed away a few years before her. Now our sister and her children are left alone.

The funeral cost 10,300 lei. The state didn’t help at all, because mum wasn’t employed. We, the family, paid it with the help of close ones.

Mum’s grave is still just a mound of earth, with flowers and a cross. We want to give her a lasting resting place: a concrete and granite tomb, like the one already made for our brother Paul in the same cemetery. That way, mum and Paul will have a beautiful, cared‑for spot where we can light a candle for many years to come.

Our sister and her husband, Ionuț, live nearby and go to the cemetery most often. Ionuț handles the work together with a local craftsman, and I, Sergiu, pay for the work from the money raised here, directly to the craftsman.

Because I created CauseHub, we want everything to be transparent: we’ll post the craftsman’s estimate and a photo of the invoice for each item, and at the end, pictures of the finished tomb. If any money remains, we’ll write exactly what we used it for.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every thought, every share and every penny. May God rest our mother in peace.

What the money will pay for

The money goes only to our mother’s tomb, in the cemetery in Bălaia:

• A poured‑concrete border on a reinforced foundation, so it won’t shift or crack over time.
• A granite cross (star) with mum’s name and photo engraved.
• Transport and installation, done by a local craftsman, and the cemetery fee if required.

We chose concrete and granite because they withstand cold and rain for many years without deteriorating. Donations go directly to Sergiu’s account, who pays the work directly to the craftsman.

We’ll post the craftsman’s estimate here before the work starts, and if the actual price is lower, we’ll note here what we’ll use the remainder for.
